Shuffle Dance and Cutting Shapes performed on stage by young, talented dancers.
In May and June this year, Soof got the opportunity to choreograph for a driven group of 60 dancers. From age 8 till 19.
These dancers were completely new to both styles. So it was a huge adventure they can be very proud of.
With a limited time of just a few trainings, they managed to do a whole piece of Shuffle Dance and Cutting Shapes in their show Romeo & Juliet.
This choreography was made for a powerful storyline within the show. The stomping and the sharp shapes were a perfect match to express rage and anger in the fight between the two groups in the performance.
As we know, this dance style contains complex footwork technique that can't be executed perfectly after just a few hours. And this group outdid all expectations. Our community of Ravers came to the show and they were amazed by the level they already have reached within these trainings.
The entire show was breathtaking, moving, intense and beautiful to watch. We are so honored to be part of this journey with these new Ravers. Together, we make history. We are excited for the future. Thank you for your trust BeatZone!
