The Beginner Ravers Course is an introductory course designed for Ravers who want to start with a solid base of Shuffle Dance and Cutting Shapes so they can level up within these consistent lessons. Building confidence and connection together with a Ravers family that shows up every week too. No prior dance experience is needed.

A lot of us might already know that foundations are key. Especially with our style. Even the dancer with the most experience consistently trains their foundations. 
This course will build a solid flow for a beginner level to put you in a kickstart for a regular beginner/improver lesson. 
And the journey all starts with you, being consistent in the training!

This course is for absolute beginners, first-time Ravers, and anyone who wants to feel more comfortable and confident at raves, festivals, club nights, and/or dancing in general.

Do I need any dance experience?

No. This course is 100% beginner-friendly. We start from the basics and guide you step by step.

What is the difference between this course and the regular Friday beginner/improver lessons?

Depending on the group dynamics in both groups; it will always be challenging. There is always space for improvement, something new to learn and refinement.

The course will go more into detail of the foundations. There is so much to learn from this. In the course there is more space for adjustments to the needs and questions. For more read the ‘included’ paragraph on this page above.

The beginner/improver lesson will be a higher level than the course. Here we build even more on top of the solid layer of foundations and have a faster pace. Students that are not able to keep up with this regular lesson will always be recommended to follow the course first.

Is it too easy for me?

Going over foundations might sound ‘boring’ for a few newcomers among us, as learning loads of new steps in a short time might sound very attractive. Luckily your patience with less steps as ‘quality over quantity’ help you improve faster. And going too fast to the next level will make it even harder to recover. Besides all of that, you will discover that foundations are limitless too.

Absolutely. Many participants join solo. The course is a safe and welcoming environment to meet like-minded people.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Sneakers are recommended, preferably shoes without too much grip.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself, comfortable clothing, and a big dose of good energy. A water bottle is recommended: this style is a cardio!

The course is accessible for all fitness levels. You can always move at your own pace and take breaks when needed.

We work with electronic music styles commonly found at raves and festivals, focusing on groove and rhythm rather than choreography.
