Beginner Melbourne Techniques (18:00 - 19:30)

Build a strong foundation in Melbourne-style shuffling through the core techniques that create its signature flow and feel.

This beginner-friendly class will focus on developing the Running Man and T-Step, with an emphasis on clean technique, control, and transitioning naturally between movements. We’ll also break down rocking and explore how to build and develop it so dancers can better understand the groove, weight shifts, and momentum that give Melbourne style its distinctive character.

Rather than simply learning steps, this class is about understanding how the movements connect—helping you develop smoother transitions, stronger foundations, and the confidence to start flowing and expressing yourself within the Melbourne style.

Perfect for dancers who are new to Melbourne techniques or looking to strengthen their fundamentals.

Rising Novice Melbourne Choreography (19:30 - 21:00)

Take your Melbourne foundations to the next level through choreography designed to challenge your movement, musicality, and flow.

This rising novice class will build on core Melbourne techniques while introducing and highlighting kicks, spins, and glides. We’ll explore how these elements can be layered into your dancing and connected with Running Man, T-Step, and rocking to create more dynamic movement and variation.

Through choreography, dancers will work on transitions, control, direction changes, and momentum, learning how to move smoothly between sharper, high-energy moments and effortless flow.

Perfect for dancers who are comfortable with the basics and are ready to expand their Melbourne vocabulary, push their technique, and bring more style and personality into their movement.
